Beautiful image and great concept. (Though to be pedantic the scary reality is that the speed of climate change is far too rapid to allow species to evolve to cope with it).

I feel like you should have the feathers begin to get replaced by scales, it doesn't make sense for an aquatic or amphibious animal to have feathers ;) Beautifully done, though.

Strange seeing feathers on an aquatic animal... looks more like a forced photoshop rather than a logical evolution, but I'm just nitpicking so don't mind me. :D

Love the concept, in fact my entire BFA Printmaking Thesis was a Artist book based on the evolutionary cross mating of interordinal species. I enjoy seeing this theme expressed with different media!

why? are you saying that the fish is evolving into a bird because of global warming, why because of the warmer climate?

i like my theory better. the theory of global warming is saying that as temperatures rise there will be more water and less land which has trees for birds to perch in, so wouldn't it make sense that animals would be reverting back to swimming creatures? think about it. it makes sense.

also isn't art subjective? art means something different to everyone.

and finally that comment is very rude. what if i had had mental disabilities? that's a bold accusation and can be damaging to others' self esteem. think before you speak/accuse others please.

because of these reasons i am deeming your comment as a waste of anyone's time.

Not possible....two of the different species cannot mate as their alleles in the genes do not match therefore canno thave offspring

Evolution isn't about crossbreeding different species. It's adapting to your surroundings. Google it:)

i know, but its a picture of a bird and a fish......title kindaaa misleading LOL and evolution is about natural selection WHICH leads to adaption. And didnt really mean to be all cocky and stuff, BIO test was today so it was all in my head! Great pic though grats on DD.

Why stop it? (Like we can, but I'll roll with this) I just know my children will love having a parrot fish for a pet, feeding it crackers and enjoying the muted squawking sound it makes mimicking speech underwater while we live in our house upon the floating metropolis.

And here I've been thinking about whether I should get a fish or a bird as my first pet after I move...

In all seriousness though, I love this. It's a beautiful creature, and I think it's a fun way of telling about a serious issue :3 And I think the fish and bird parts are mixed quite well.

i'm not an expert in this class of things, i'm just giving my opinion. every fish part here looks fake .-.U just like copy-pasted (except by the tail) i don't know; the fins should be better mixed (or rendered, dunno what's the term they use to put different pieces together and make them look like one) with the parrot' feathers. the idea is good though and the water looks good too.

Wow, this is a very nice concept and the creative image conveys the message extraordinarily well~! :D It doesn't guilt or shock people into support like some other ads do, yet is still convincing and leaves a lasting impact. Well done. :rose:
